Coffee Shop - Groove Train

Eleven years on, the original Groove Train keeps on chuffing. The network has branched off around Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, each cafe sharing a youthful, bohemian energy, rustic decor and vibrant music. In Bridge Road, where it all began, there’s respite from the cacophony of traffic and gleeful bargain hunters. Timber chairs and tables are cosy but well-spaced, and exposed brick walls and modern art add warmth and interest. Barista Pino Veneziano crafts a double macchiato with a bold fruity aroma and a mild, sweet flavour using “the family’s” coffee beans. His caffe latte is elegantly etched with herby aromas and a soothing finish. Regulars start the day with pancakes, or cruise in later for focaccia and wood-fired pizza.
